Divine Mercy Sunday Pilgrimage
Divine Mercy Sunday Pilgrimage 2026
Our Biggest Event of the Year – All Are Welcome!
The Extraordinary Graces of Divine Mercy Sunday
In her Diary, St. Faustina records a powerful promise given to her by Jesus for the Feast of Mercy. Our Lord told her:
“I pour out a whole ocean of graces upon those souls who approach the fount of My mercy”.
The Promise of Complete Forgiveness
While we can receive God’s mercy throughout the year, Jesus specifically highlighted the “floodgates” of His mercy on this day. He made a specific promise:
- A Complete Pardon: Jesus promised to grant a complete pardon to those who go to Confession and receive Holy Communion on the Feast of Mercy.
- Forgiveness of Sins and Punishment: “The soul that will go to Confession and receive Holy Communion will obtain complete forgiveness of sins and punishment”.
How to Receive These Graces
To participate in these extraordinary graces, the following conditions should be met:
- Sacramental Confession: Make a good Confession beforehand to be in a state of grace.
- Holy Communion: Receive Holy Communion worthily on Divine Mercy Sunday (or the Vigil celebration).
- Trust: Approach the Lord with complete trust in His Divine Mercy.
- Acts of Mercy: Our Lord also expressed that there must be acts of mercy performed by us toward others.
Plenary Indulgence
In addition to the graces promised by Jesus to St. Faustina, a Plenary Indulgence is also available on this day under the usual conditions mandated by the Church. These include:
- Sacramental confession.
- Eucharistic communion.
- Prayer for the intentions of the Supreme Pontiff.
- Participating in prayers and devotions held in honor of Divine Mercy in any church or chapel.
