This Divine Mercy Sunday, April 27, is a remarkable occasion, featuring a unique blend of significant events. This year commemorates the twenty-fifth anniversary—also known as the silver jubilee—of the canonisation of Saint Faustina Kowalska and the establishment of Divine Mercy Sunday, both of which were proclaimed by Pope Saint John Paul II on April 30, 2000. Additionally, the canonisation of Blessed Carlo Acutis will occur on this same day, April 27.
To mark the occassion Divine Mercy Shrine will host a weekend of events.
Father Dominque Visiting Priest
Fr. Dominique Faure is a captivating preacher and educator who travels the world giving retreats, conferences, and seminars. While he was still a deacon, his impactful preaching caught the attention of Mother Teresa, who subsequently asked him to oversee the spiritual formation of her contemplative order of sisters, and later, all of her sisters.
Fr. Dominique shares deep insights on a variety of subjects, ranging from human philosophy—such as the philosophy of friendship, the nature of living beings, and metaphysics—to the profound depths of mystical theology and the methodical analysis found in scientific theology.
