MERCIFUL JESUS appeal

Help erect Western Australia’s only Monument of Merciful Jesus

Monument of Merciful Jesus

Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ,

We are thrilled to share an uplifting initiative in the Diocese of Perth, WA, as we prepare for the Jubilee Year of Hope declared by Pope Francis in 2025. We are proposing the creation of a Monument of Merciful Jesus in front of the newly constructed Divine Mercy Shrine, located in the breathtaking Lower Chittering Valley—just a scenic 50-minute drive northeast of Perth.

This Jubilee Year is particularly special, as it marks the 25th anniversary of the Feast of Divine Mercy and the canonisation of St. Faustina by St. John Paul II.

We are proud to have Father Paul Fox as the spiritual patron of this project, whose dedication has been instrumental in the Shrine’s development.

As we embark on this inspiring journey, we warmly invite you to join us. Your heartfelt contributions will help make this monument a reality in the courtyard of the Divine Mercy Shrine. Together, we can create a space that reflects the love and mercy of our Savior.

The most recognised image of Christ today is the one inscribed with the words “Jesus, I trust in You.” This beautiful image, co-created by Jesus Himself, is a profound gift to us all. As He promises, “I promise that the soul that venerates this image will not perish” and “Souls who spread the honor of My Mercy I shield throughout their entire lives, just as a tender mother shields her infant. At the hour of death, I will not be a Judge for them, but the Merciful Savior” (Diary, 1075).

While monuments may not speak, they have a remarkable ability to convey important messages across ages. Through their symbolism and grandeur, they embody spiritual significance and inspire admiration and reverence.

We invite you to consider supporting this extraordinary initiative as we honor the mercy of our Lord and create a lasting legacy for future generations. Thank you for your kindness and generosity!

Let’s make this vision a reality!

We are excited to share our proposal for placing the Monument of Merciful Jesus in the courtyard of the Church of the Divine Mercy Shrine. This monument will stand as a powerful symbol of mercy and love, representing the heartfelt contributions of those from every corner of Australia who trust in Merciful Jesus.

The stunning monument will be crafted in China, featuring a magnificent 2.4-metre bronze statue of Jesus, elegantly mounted on a beautiful 1.8-metre white marble pedestal. The entire project is estimated to cost $25,000.

We warmly invite you to be a part of this inspiring initiative. Your generous support—no matter how big or small—will make a significant difference in bringing this vision to life. To honor your contribution, a plaque with the names of all donors will be displayed on the pedestal, acknowledging your role in creating this remarkable monument.

If you feel called to support this cause, you can make a voluntary donation either to the bank account provided below or through our dedicated PayPal page.

Additionally, if you have broken chains, damaged earrings, bracelets, rings, or other gold items lying around, we would love for you to send them our way! These items will be used to create a beautiful golden heart on the monument. Please contact us for shipping instructions.

Thank you for your kindness and willingness to support this meaningful project. We are truly grateful for your contribution, no matter the amount, as each gift brings us closer to our goal.

Mark your calendars! The official consecration of the monument is planned for the Feast of Divine Mercy on April 27, 2025. Together, let’s make this vision a reality!
