St Anne’s Church Bindoon

St Anne’s Bindoon was built on the site of the original Church, which had been destroyed in a cyclone in 1943 and never rebuilt. Mass was previously offered at the Karim Centre, a small fibro unit on the site of the original Church. The Catholic Agricultural College Chapel also hosted Mass.

Upon his arrival and shortly following the restoration of St Catherine’s Church at Gingin, Fr Fox formed a fundraising committee to build a new Church on the 1.21 hectare original site. The architectural drawings for the Church were provided by Peter Anthes. In addition to a large Parish raffle which raised $74,000 and brick donations, Mr Stipe Balenovic generously donated $150,000 which enabled the Church to be opened debt free. On 25th July 2004, Archbishop Hickey formally dedicated the beautiful moss rock-clad Church that can hold 115 people. A pipe organ by Hufner was installed in the loft of the Church in February 2019 by Fr Fox.
