Walk to Divine Mercy Shrine

To Jesus through Mary Camino

Pilgrimages evoke our earthly journey toward heaven and are traditionally very special occasions for renewal in prayer. For pilgrims seeking living water, shrines are special places for living the forms of Christian prayer “in Church.” – Catechism of the Catholic Church 2691

It is quite common for Our Lady in Medjugorje to end her messages to the visionaries with the statement “Thank you responding to my call”.  Now the Mother of God is speaking directly to you. However you made the decision, Our Blessed Mother invites you to walk to Her Son’s Shrine in the Lower Chittering Valley, Western Australia. There, the Lamb of God awaits to greet you.

Impossible made possible with a Powerhouse of Reliquae from Mary to Jesus.

Can’t you see with your heart what a Divine opportunity lies before you? If you say YES, then put your YES into action, and Jesus will take care of the rest. What earthly reason could you have for not making this journey if a blind elderly Franciscan Friar is able to do so?

Franciscan Friar Marcellinus Meilak OFM from Perth, will lead the walk holding the First Class Reliquiae of Saint Anthony of Padua. Saint Anthony is invoked and venerated all over the world as the patron saint for the recovery of lost items and is credited with many miracles involving lost people, lost things and even lost spiritual goods.

The Catholic church has a tradition of giving honour to relics which are objects that have direct associations with the saints or Christ himself. Relics are not worshipped but given honour – “venerated” – because of the Saints love of and closeness to God. We pray to the Saint in a hope they will intercede to Jesus with our petitions.

Father Marcellinus, who is a Franciscan friar from the same order as Saint Anthony, is representing and praying for souls who are or have become lost on their journey and helping them draw back to Jesus.

We are calling this a powerhouse of reliquiae because Sister Faustina’s relic will also be present with us. Jesus has shared with Sister Faustina His Way of The Cross, the thorniest, most terrible, narrowest and cruellest road that anyone has ever walked in human history. He will do it through people who truly loved God in a special way and therefore entered deeply, with all their heart, into His pain and suffering. ITS FIRST TIME TRANSLATAED TO ENGLISH and recorded with Father Doug. If a blind Father Marcellinus can do this for YOU and your loved ones, I’m sure you’ll find a way to join us in this pilgrimage with all the saints on Mary’s day where the Mother is calling you and she says

“ If you only knew how much I love you, you’d cry out of Joy”.

Jesus said to Saint Faustina;

Your vocation is to love and suffer and save souls and by taking this step you will fulfill my Heart’s desire for you.

Now is your chance to turn Impossible to Possible with God on this day when we have a blind Father that walks and prays for our petitions with us, combined with the intersession power of Saint Anthony and Sister Faustina.

On that day, we are walking with the Blessed Mother and the veil is thinner to Heaven, helping with petitions to her son to be heard.

Your sacrifice of Time, Energy and Discomfort to participate on this pilgrimage walk will reap so much fruit, and it will open the door through your prayers and sacrifice for your own petitions and sow the seeds for future youth to come in the following years.

Walk to Jesus through Mary – What’s it all about?

In the aftermath of being bitten by a poisonous spider, Marisana Arambasic became extremely ill and underwent serious medical treatment. Despite her excruciating pain, she grabbed her Rosary and started to pray. The moment her parents heard how ill their daughter was, they decided to go to Medjugorje to pray to Our Lady for healing; this is where a miracle occurred.

Marisana realised how important prayer and sacrifice are in our journey to our eternal home after her life was forever changed. She received inspiration from the Peace Walk, which has been taking place in Medjugorje since 1992. So commencing in 2020 pilgrims have been walking every year between Our Lady of the Revelation Shrine and Divine Mercy Shrine on or close to the Feast Day of Our Lady of Medjugorje. This years pilgrimage will happen on June 23rd 2024.

Dear children! Today again I am calling you to prayer and fasting. You know, dear children, that with your help I am able to accomplish everything and force Satan not to be seducing to evil and to remove himself from this place. Dear children, Satan is lurking for each individual. Especially in everyday affairs he wants to spread confusion among each one of you. Therefore, dear children, my call to you is that your day would be only prayer and complete surrender to God. Thank you for having responded to my call.

One Hour of Your Time

The value of one hour of your time cannot be overstated but did you know that if YOU spend one hour of your time meditating on Our Lord’s Passion it = a WHOLE YEAR of whips and sacrafice! It is of great profit to YOU!

For the above reason this year’s walk will be a silent one with as much reflection as possible on the Passion of Our Lord. During the walk, we are going to meditate on The Way of the Cross as received by the Saints and complied by Father Josip Radic (this is first time these meditations have been translated into English, for Australian pilgrims). This powerful meditation gives you the opportunity to gain a better understanding of Jesus’ love and sacrifice, allowing us to be drawn closer to Him and to our own salvation.  Listen to the Station now or buy The Way of the Cross as received by the Saints at Divine Mercy Shrine.

A Pilgrim’s ultimate purpose is to deepen their faith, gain a better understanding of Jesus, and encounter God more profoundly. We invite pilgrims who cannot walk to come and join in prayer at Divine Mercy Shrine and spend time in Adoration with Our Lord.

There is more merit to ONE HOUR of meditation on My Sorrowful Passion than there is to a WHOLE YEAR of flagellation that draws blood; the contemplation of My painful wounds is of great profit to you, and it brings Me great joy.

Jesus said to Saint Faustina

Why Make a Pilgrimage?

A comparison could be made between the Israelites walking through the Desert and the Lord leading them back to the Holy Land. In addition, we have the image of the Holy Family returning to Nazareth after they were exiled in Egypt. The countless times Joseph, Mary, and Jesus walked the 100+ miles between Nazareth and Jerusalem for religious festivals is another example. The many pilgrimages and missions Jesus and the apostles made during his three years in public ministry would in fact have involved walking similar distances. In the days following Jesus’ death, Paul and Barnabas traveled thousands of miles on foot, spreading the Good News throughout Turkey, Greece, and Italy. Likewise, the Apostles and Disciples spread the gospel throughout Europe, Africa, and Asia. We must not forget the most important pilgrimage of all, Our Lord Jesus Christ’s walk up the hill to Calvary.

On this pilgrimage, you will experience a very special unity with the Saints of the Church, the Old Testament patriarchs, and the Holy Family. In making this intentional journey, it is easy to focus on the physical, but it is even more important to focus on the inner journey towards heaven and Christ’s love for us.
