Annual Parish Olive Pick

Our Lady of the Visitation Catholic Parish Harvest of Olives
Harvest of olives begins in the Chittering Valley this month. The Northern Valleys have a long tradition of producing olives for pickling and pressing into olive oil.
Our Benedictine brothers from New Norcia planted olive trees as early as 1850. Some of Australia’s best olive oil is from our region, and different brands from different terroirs are rigorously tasted and compared like fine wines.
Fr Paul would like to invite all to celebrate this year’s harvest with a family picking day. A Sausage sizzle and other refreshments will be provided for pickers. This is an excellent event to meet other Catholic families from across WA.
Start at 9.15am at St Anne’s Bindoon. 6549 Great Northern Highway, Bindoon. From there the gang will go to Edmund Rice College, Bindoon.

Psalm 52:8
But as for me, I am like a green olive tree in the house of God;
I trust in the lovingkindness of God forever and ever.
