Patrons

You may wish to consider assisting us complete this beautiful Shrine by becoming a Patron. As a Patron, your name, your family name, or the name of a loved one, will be included on a specially commissioned plaque and displayed in a prominent location in the Church. You will be invited to a special Mass for the dedication of these plaques and the viewing of the completed works.

1. SANCTUARY PATRON 

$5,000 

The focal point of the Divine Mercy Shrine is the Sanctuary which will be finished in fine marble and include a most beautiful Altar and Reredos. The Reredos will encompass the Tabernacle and a most beautiful commissioned oil painting of the Divine Mercy Image. Local artist Sarah Pearn has been commissioned for this work. Sarah is one of Australia’s finest young artists and has recently returned from Italy after completing a three year diploma at the Florence Academy of Art.

2. SIDE CHAPEL PATRONS 

$3,000 

To the left and right of the sanctuary will be the side chapels of Our Lady and St Joseph. These most important spaces of devotion will be exquisitely decorated with the statues hand carved and painted by renowned Austrian wood sculptor Georg Bergmeister

3. BAPTISTRY AND CONFESSIONAL PATRONS. 

$2,000 

We will have a beautiful Baptistry off the Narthex of the Church and opening onto the Nave. The Confessional Doors will be completed in carved Jarrah wood and decorated with appropriate works of art.

4. PORTICO AND NARTHEX PATRONS 

$1,100 

The Portico is a covered area in front of the main doors of the Church. As well as a practical application to protect from the weather, the Portico and Narthex(foyer) form the transition from the mundane into the sacred spaces. The portico will be decorated with beautiful mosaics while the narthex lined with timber and adorned in rich symbolism will lead the faithful gradually into the sacred realm. There will also be statue niches in the Facade of the Church containing Saints who have promoted the message of God’s Mercy in a special way.

5. SACRISTRY AND VESTRY PATRONS 

$1,000 

An extensive fit-out of cupboards, work spaces and sinks is required for the proper storing of those items required for the liturgical celebrations and the day to day running of the church. Patronage for this area includes all liturgical vessels, vestments and linens
