Mission & Goals
The Benedictine Daughters of Divine Will Trip Fundraiser
For many years now, I have been studying the Book of Heaven and reading about the life of Servant of God, Luisa Piccarreta. We have a Divine Will prayer group in the parish and there are many Divine Will prayer groups in Western Australia.
During All Souls Day on 2nd November 2024, we hope to host a Divine Will Day at the Divine Mercy Shrine. Geraldine Ryan will hopefully be coming across from Queensland to speak at our event. Many members of the Divine Will community have requested that we extend an invitation to the Benedictine Daughters of the Divine Will from Talamello.
The sisters have been invited and we are awaiting their response. Our goal is to raise enough funds to cover flight and accommodation costs for the sisters to attend.
As of now, the draft itinerary is as follows:
-
Fly from Rome to Perth Monday 28th October 2024
-
Arrive Tuesday 29th October 2024
-
Accommodation at Casa Luisa – run by Jenny Troy.
-
Visit New Norcia Benedictine Monastery – 30th , 31st and 1st November 2024
-
Divine Will Day at Divine Mercy Shrine 2nd November 2024 -10am – 7pm
-
The Sisters will stay overnight in Lower Chittering and attend Sunday Mass and afternoon tea at Divine Mercy Shrine Sunday 3rd November and then return to Casa Luisa that evening.
-
Monday 4th November – day off sightseeing
-
Tuesday 5th November Divine Will Prayer Meeting and Mass Casa Luisa.
Who are the Benedictine Daughters of Divine Will?
It’s never easy to write about oneself. Basic writing principles suggest beginning with a strong lead, hooking readers right from the start with something interesting, exciting, or impressive. But to describe the Benedictine Daughters of Divine Will, only one word comes to mind – FAMILY.
Outwardly, you won’t find anything particularly remarkable about our community. Though we try to put our whole heart and soul into everything that we do, God has not given us any great talents or abilities that would set us apart from (or even put us on par with) other religious groups. Our mission is much simpler and more hidden, yet no less demanding: to live the Divine Will of God in love and charity like the Holy Family in Nazareth. But before going any further, let’s backtrack a bit and check out how the Lord’s plan all came together.
